Alex is an Acoustic Consultant at Southdowns, based in London, specialising in groundborne noise and vibration. He joined the company in 2021 with two years industry experience working as a Geophysicist processing seismic data. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control, an MSc in Exploration Geophysics and a BSc in Geology with Geophysics. 

Working in acoustics modelling and data processing methods, alongside British Standards such as BS 5228 and BS 6472, with examples such as the assessment of large scale tunnelling activities under residential properties at locations along the High Speed 2 route.  

He provides consent applications and vibration risk assessments as well as undertaking noise and vibration monitoring at sensitive locations.
