Jim Nelligan has joined Southdowns as a Senior Technician / Hygienist having previously worked as an Environmental Project Monitor based in New York where he was involved with the monitoring and management of hazardous and non-hazardous substances in the local environment. Prior to this he worked in Southern Ireland as a Junior Environmental Consultant on noise, vibration and air quality monitoring across various industry section.
Jim obtained a honours degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Management at the Limerick Institute of Technology, where his studies covered various Environmental Management topics, including Waste and Energy Management and Sustainable Development.
His work at Southdowns will include air quality, noise and vibration environmental monitoring and management on various construction sites and major projects. This work will cover both attended and unattended monitoring, including the operation and maintenance of semi-permanent installations, together with the provision of technical assistance to both Consultants and Directors. Jim will also be developing the company’s capability in occupational dust, noise and hygiene monitoring and assessment.
