Southdowns Director, Rick Methold will be taking on the mighty 60km off-road ‘Hit the Downs’ mountain bike challenge on 12th May to raise crucial funds required for the ongoing operation of the Chestnut Tree House hospice in Sussex. All donations go to the Hospice. The challenge is one of the biggest fundraising events organised by the Hospice and it needs your support to ensure it can operate. Below is a message from Rick:
‘Having completed a volunteering day working in the Memory Garden at the Hospice this week, we all gained an important sense of how this facility provides critical services and support to children and young people with life-shortening illnesses and to their immediate families. The care provided by the staff is truly incredible and the positive messages leading from the stories we heard from the staff were very heart-felt. This experience has meant that all of us at Southdowns are even more determined to offer our support to this vital resource in any way we can. I’m looking forward to doing my bit, but I need everyone to dig deep and donate to our justgiving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/southdowns-environmental-consultants-ltd1. I really cant think of a better cause for me to encourage my friends, family and colleagues to part with their hard earned cash and I hope I can do a half decent job for the Hospice on the day!‘
