We are proud to announce that Southdowns received a Highly Commended award at the recent Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) meeting in June 2017.
This commendation was made for our work in the category of Environmental Noise which forms part of the ANC’s acclaimed programme of Acoustics Awards which promotes and recognises excellence among UK acoustic consultants.
Southdowns’ nomination for this award followed a two year independent investigation into the potential damage associated with exposure to environmental noise and vibration from Ministry of Defence (MoD) test ranges in South Wales and Essex (for more information on the project please follow this link).
Ian Arthurs who presented a summary of Southdowns work at the ANC meeting will also be delivering a presentation on the same project at the 24th International Congress on Sound and Vibration on Monday 24th July. The congress is a prominent event for those involved in acoustics and vibration which provides a venue for scientist and engineers to share current research, theories and technologies within this area.
