Rick Methold attended the 23rd International Congress on Sound and Vibration in Athens, Greece between 10th and 14th July and presented a paper on Southdowns ongoing work with the track design teams on the Crossrail project during one of the specialist sessions on groundborne noise and vibration from railway systems. The Congress is considered an important leading event in the area of acoustics and vibration providing an important opportunity for scientists and engineers from all over the world to share their latest research results and exchange ideas on theories, technologies and applications in these fields with a broad range of high-level technical papers.
