We are pleased to announce that Jorge Gomez Perales BEng MSc PhD CSci MIAQM MIEnvSc has joined Southdowns Environment Consultants as a Principal Consultant to lead our Air Quality Team. He is a qualified and experienced air quality specialist with over 25 years of consultancy and research experience for private and public sector clients alike.
With MSc and PhD post graduate qualifications from Imperial College, London in Environmental Technology and Urban Air Pollution respectively, he is a highly respected Chartered Scientist and a corporate member of the Institute of Air Quality Management and the Institution of Environmental Science.
Jorge’s expertise includes the preparation of air quality assessments to inform planning applications, permitting, due diligence and feasibility studies. His key technical skills include dispersion modelling, indoor and outdoor monitoring, construction and operational dust assessments.
Jorge has been involved in a wide range of projects within the urban regeneration, power generation and transport sectors. He has worked on behalf of governments, developers, financial and research institutions in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
This appointment marks a key point in the development of Southdowns’ air quality consultancy and monitoring services. These will complement our acoustics, noise and vibration services where the company has established itself as one of the leading national and independent providers of environmental services, with major project experience of construction, transportation, industrial, residential, commercial and power generation developments.
