Southdowns was commissioned to carry out an EIA for a new DLR station at Langdon Park in London, proposed at a position along the existing DLR route. The study considered temporary construction and permanent operation noise and vibration impacts associated with the development. The potential benefits associated with slower DLR vehicles approaching and leaving the new station were assessed as well as potential noise impacts associated with door opening alarms on the DLR vehicles.
Southdowns were also appointed to undertake the commissioning surveys to ensure that the DLR noise and vibration policy was being adhered to by the new operational station including the public address system operation.
