Southdowns was commissioned to undertake vibration modelling of tunnelling activities associated with the construction of the proposed Cross Island Line alignment option that passes beneath the Central Catchment Nature Reserve in Singapore.
The modelling results were used to assess the potential effects on several land and waterborne species (including flora, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, avifauna, crustaceans and invertebrates) within the Nature Reserve during the use of the Tunnel Boring Machine, advance probe drilling and cross passage mining associated with the scheme.
